We had a great time at the Cal Poly SEAOC / ARCE Structural Forum this weekend! This is one of our favorite events of the year because we get together with alumni, chat with professors, and connect with current students.
When asked about his Structural Forum experience Calvin Roth (Cal Poly ’18) explained that he, “always enjoyed how forum was a resume-free event because of how it forced me to focus on my networking skills and get to know the company representatives on a personal level”.
Jocelyn Lu (Cal Poly ’17) added , “I was excited to learn about all of the different paths that structural engineering could take me, while also getting a sense of what the industry will be like. Structural Forum also exposed me to many, many companies that I didn’t know existed”. From the other side of the table, we love that the event helps us hire people like Calvin and Jocelyn – new engineers who are passionate about the field and ready to hit the ground running as a result of Cal Poly’s learn by doing approach to education.
If we missed you please visit our “Careers” page and contact our Human Resources department. We are currently accepting resumes.
